4. Purpose of use of data collection, processing, or use
The purposes for which the company was established are:
a) the production, processing, finishing, and marketing of products and intermediaries for the paper, corrugated board, and cardboard industry and other packaging materials, including related plastic and substitute materials, and all other products that lie in the interests of the company’s business purpose,
b) trading in the objects listed under ‘a’ and similar objects with their raw, auxiliary, and scrap materials, including import and export,
c) the acquisition of similar companies and equity holdings and the creation and leasing of such companies,
d) the operation of equipment serving the purposes of research and scientific investigation, and also consultancy, in the company’s working field, both in Germany and abroad. The collection, processing, and use of data serve the purpose of exercising the above-stated purposes. Other purposes for data collection, processing, and use are all activities necessary for the management of the company on the basis of statutory regulations or other permissible purposes under the Federal Data Protection Act.
5. Relevant groups of persons, data, and date categories
As far as natural persons are concerned, data on customers, potential customers, suppliers, and employees, as well as data on applicants, service providers, and co-operation partners can be collected, processed, and used to the extent necessary for fulfilling the purposes listed in Clause 4.
6. Recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data can be communicated
Government agencies if legal regulations with precedence exist, e.g. social-security insurance organisations and fiscal authorities.
External customers and suppliers under the provisions of Article 11 of the Federal Data Protection Act (contract data-processing)
External organisations and internal departments for fulfilling the purposes listed in Clause 4. The data are not passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
7. Compulsory periods for the deletion of data
Legislation has set a wide variety of duties and periods of time for the retention of data. When these periods of time expire the relevant data are deleted as a matter of routine. Any data not affected by the foregoing are deleted when the above-mentioned purposes no longer pertain.
8. Planned data transmission to third-party states
No transmission of data to third-party states takes place and none is planned.
